FAQs

Below you can find answers to the most frequently asked questions about our car transport services.

How do I know when my car will be picked up/dropped off?

Our driver will contact you 12 to 24 hours ahead of time to notify you of his approximate arrival at your address. Special arrangements can be made to suit your needs.

Is my vehicle insured during transportation?

Yes, your vehicle is fully insured while is being transported.  Personal belongings are not insured and are shipped at owner’s risk.

Are personal items in the car insured?

Personal items inside the car are not covered by our cargo insurance.  As a convenience to our customers, we are permitting you to put non-valuable and light personal property in the locked trunk of your vehicle.  Please note that if the cab of your vehicle contains items of personal property, such items represent an attractive nuisance.  ANY personal property put in the vehicle will be transported at your own risk.

When will my vehicle be delivered?

Once your vehicle has been picked up, it will be delivered within 5 to 7 business days (based on mileage).

How can I find out where my car is during shipment?

How do I pay for car shipping?

We offer a variety of payment options including paying by cash, certified check, PayPal, and all major credit cards.  All payments must be made before the car is dropped off at the final destination.

Do I have to be present when the car is picked up/ dropped off?

Yes.  At pick-up and delivery of your car, either you or your delegate (over age of 18) must be present to complete a pre / post inspection of your vehicle.  You must sign the Bill of Landing/ Condition Report after inspection is completed.

Is Jack Soban Auto Transport licensed to ship vehicles?

Yes. At Jack Soban Auto Transport, we are licensed through the Department of Transportation and have insurance to cover each car that is shipped with any of our transport trucks.

What do I do if my car is damaged during the transportation process?

At the time of the delivery, the driver will present you with a Bill of Landing/ Condition report.  If there are any damages, please complete the following:

  • Mark them on the Bill of Landing/ Condition Report ensuring these are approved by Jack Soban’s Auto Transport staff
  • Take pictures
  • Contact our company to request the Certificate of Insurance
  • File a claim

How far in advance should I book the car transport service?

We recommend that you book your auto transport at least two weeks in advance.   Please note, the earlier you book auto transport, the sooner we can get your vehicle scheduled to meet your delivery date (this is very important especially during peak snowbird season)
